Fort Constitution Bunker
Here is an example of exactly why HDR is so cool. This shot is impossible without HDR or some other kind of multiple exposure shot. The reason being that there is no way to have the dark inside of the bunker exposed properly at the same time as the lighter scene out the window. When you are physically standing in the bunker your eye is able to process all of the light information in a way that a camera lens simply cannot do in one exposure... but by taking multiple shots at varied exposures and combining them you can recreate what you see. This fort is a cool place to walk around, but it is still an active military base, so be sure to follow the white footpaths!
